I am not usually one to take shortcuts in the kitchen. Food that's already prepped or prepared just doesn't feel like cooking to me and I generally don't take shortcuts. I typically like to cut, slice and dice everything and sometimes even shred my own cheese. Sometimes, though, shortcuts can work.
My friend Rosemary sometimes comes over on Sunday mornings to watch a bible teaching on DVD with me. I like to make coffee and a brunch type snack. Today I tried a new cinnamon roll recipe. These are like pull-aparts or monkey bread and I have dubbed them "Fellowship Buns". These are great for an early morning get together since all the prep work is done the night before. Enjoy :)
Fellowship Buns
20 unbaked frozen diner rolls (I used Hy-Vee brand white)
1 cup brown sugar (I recommend dark brown sugar)
1/4 cup instant vanilla pudding mix
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/3 cup butter, melted (I suggest salted butter)
Lightly grease a 10 inch bundt pan. I recommend a heavy pan like Nordic Ware and greasing with regular Crisco.
Place frozen rolls into the pan and sprinkle with mixture of dry ingredients.
Pour melted butter over top.
Cover with clean, damp cloth and leave overnight at room temperature to rise.
The next morning, bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Turn onto serving platter and enjoy. You could also top these with nuts or incorporate nuts in the dry ingredients when prepping.
